Is this record standard weight or 180 gram? Light in the attic is pre-selling a 180 gm version of this here:https://lightintheattic.net/releases/4378-awakeningIf it’s a new pressing at Sony’s new plant it may be a better reissue than this Rainbo press.
it's 180 grams. The light in the attic release is the same record as this one. My copy sounds great.
Only A Love Affair skips on my copy about half way through. Bought new from HMV Shibuya2 weeks ago
I think it varies from copy to copy, but mine sounds amazing. If there's surface noise, try washing it.
I wonder who has the bright idea to press on Rainbo Records. Tons of surface noise, microwarps, and non-fill issues. BEWARE.
mine sounds great, none of these issues at all !
For what it's worth, I bought a copy of the reissue and did an A-B test against a NM- original promo press. To my ears the reissue was slightly louder, with no audible loss of detail. I don't have any of the pressing issues referenced above.
Same issue here, the surface noise is terrible on this issue ... Mint means VG+ here ...

Not sure it's ever gonna hit stores in Europe. These reissues are generally limited to a few hundred, so most of it gets sold in Japan.
